This complex coffee from El-Salvador was awarded 3rd place at the El Salvador Cup of Excellence awards (C.O.E) in 2010.

Grown by Jaime Ernesto Riera Menendez, on his small farm on the foothills of the Santa Ana volcano, it benefits from nutritious volcanic soil at a very high altitude, resulting in slow-ripening, high-quality fruit. This is a very limited coffee that we are delighted to have onboard.

Pollards say: The aroma is powerful and spicy with lots of dark chocolate and a heady marzipan sweetness, also likened to apricot. The body is very rich and heavy with a complex acidity. The real surprise was how good it was as an espresso, even at light roasts. Sweet, snappy with a deep molasses flavour.
